Our physical education classes are taught by a specialist in early childhood physical development.

With the goal of building strong, resilient bodies that are less prone to injury, children work on strengthening their core, improving balance, and developing overall physical endurance.

When we hold PE lessons at the nearby park, the children enjoy running freely in the open space, using their whole bodies with energy and confidence.


Our annual Sports Day is always a highlight of the year—not only for the children’s performances but also for the parent events, which bring great excitement and warm community spirit.

Our PE program includes foundational activities such as mat exercises, jump rope, and the horizontal bar, all tailored to each child’s developmental stage.
In addition, through games and activities that involve rules, children naturally develop not only physical skills but also cognitive abilities such as decision-making and problem-solving.

The children truly love PE.

体育は、幼児体育の専門講師が子どもたちに指導を行っています。
講師のSAORI先生の想い、「怪我をしにくい丈夫な体をつくる」ことを目標とし、体幹を鍛え、バランス感覚を養い、基礎体力の向上にも力を入れています。

近隣の公園で体育を行う際には、広い空間を活かして思い切り走り回り、全身を使って活動します。
また、年に一度の運動会では、子どもたちの競技はもちろん、保護者の皆さまにご参加いただく種目も毎年大変盛り上がり、笑顔あふれる時間となっています。

体育の内容は、マット運動・縄跳び・鉄棒などの基礎的な運動を中心に、発達段階に合わせて無理なく取り組めるよう工夫しています。
さらに、ルールのある競技やゲームを通して、身体だけでなく「考える力」や「判断力」も自然と育まれます。

子どもたちは体育の時間が大好きです。

In early childhood education, music plays an essential role in nurturing the heart, enriching sensitivity, developing skills, and helping children discover what they truly love. Songs expand imagination and open the door to a limitless world of expression — that is the power of music.

At PURE, we value the time children spend engaging with music.
Every month, they sing a wide variety of songs, from traditional English nursery rhymes to popular tunes, sometimes dancing along as they sing.
They also practice using instruments, learning musical notes through “Do–Re–Mi–Fa–So–La–Ti–Do,” and gradually developing an understanding of rhythm and note length.

Children are also introduced to classical music, giving them opportunities to feel the beauty and expression of sound.
Our 2- and 3-year-olds learn the basics of music naturally through rhythmic movement activities.

By the time they reach 4 and 5 years old, they begin practicing the pianica, learning finger placement and breath control while enjoying the experience of playing simple melodies.

Seasonal Music Activities

We also explore music that matches seasonal events.
For the 2025 Christmas Concert, the children sang and performed the following pieces:

• Songs: 12 Days of Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Jingle Bells
• Pianica: Ode to Joy
• Tambourine: All I Want for Christmas Is You

Each piece was chosen to let the children enjoy music in different ways, filling the event with smiles and festive energy.

幼児教育において音楽は、心を育て、感性を豊かにし、技術を磨き、子どもが“好き”を見つける大切なきっかけとなります。歌は想像力を広げ、表現の世界を無限に豊かにしてくれる――それが音楽です。

PUREでは、毎月たくさんの歌を歌い、音楽に親しむ時間を大切にしています。
伝統的な英語の童謡から、流行の歌まで、時には踊りながら楽しく歌います。
楽器の練習にも取り組み、音符は「ド・レ・ミ・ファ・ソ・ラ・シ・ド」で学び、音の長さやリズムも丁寧に身につけていきます。

また、クラシック音楽にも触れ、音の美しさや表情を感じ取る経験を大切にしています。
2・3歳児はリトミックを通して、体を使いながら音楽の基礎を自然に学びます。
4・5歳児になると、ピアニカの練習に取り組み、指の使い方や息のコントロールを学びながら、メロディーを奏でる楽しさを味わいます。

季節の音楽活動

季節の行事に合わせた曲にも挑戦します。
2025年のクリスマス会では、以下の曲を歌ったり演奏したりしました。
歌：12 Days of Christmas ,Feliz Navidad, Jingle Bells
ピアニカ： Ode to Joy（よろこびの歌）
タンバリン：All I Want for Christmas Is You

We have daily storytime at PURE English Kindergarten. Children enjoy picture books before lunch and again before the end-of-day circle time. Storytime is provided in two groups: ages 2–3 and ages 4–5.

We also hold a special BOOK WEEK once a year. During this week, children immerse themselves in the world of picture books—drawing scenes from stories, doing read‑alouds, performing short plays based on books, and giving presentations about their favorite stories.

In our Japanese lessons, we read one or two Japanese picture books each time.
Some of the children’s favorite books include
Dorobō Gakkō
Daruma‑chan by Satoshi Kako,
Satsuma no Oimo（sweet potatoes),
11 Piki no Neko,
Momo‑chan.

We have approximately 500 English picture books in our kindergarten.
If you have any good English picture books at home that you are no longer using, we would greatly appreciate your donation.

As for Japanese picture books, we always borrow them from the wonderful libraries in Toda City.

ピュアイングリッシュキンダーガーデンでは、毎日絵本の時間を設けています。
ランチ前と帰りのサークルタイム前に読み聞かせを行い、2～3歳児と4～5歳児に分けて、年齢に合った絵本を楽しみます。

年に一度の「読書ウィーク」では、絵本の世界にたっぷり浸る特別な活動を行います。物語の絵を描いたり、朗読や劇に挑戦したり、お気に入りの絵本を紹介するなど、表現の幅が広がる一週間です。

日本語レッスンでは毎回1～2冊の日本語絵本を読みます。
子どもたちに人気の絵本は
『どろぼうがっこう』
『だるまちゃん』シリーズ、
『さつまのおいも』
『11ぴきのねこ』
『ももちゃんとぷー』などがあります。

園には約500冊の英語絵本があり、さまざまな物語に触れることができます。
ご家庭に読まなくなった英語絵本がございましたら、ご寄付いただけると大変ありがたいです。

日本語の絵本は、戸田市の図書館から定期的に借りています。
