International Educational Support Services

IESS offers specialized preparatory courses designed for international examinees who aim to pass Japanese national qualification exams. All courses are taught bilingually in Japanese and a foreign language to ensure that learners can understand both the subject matter and the Japanese terminology required for the exam.

Course Language

• Courses are normally offered in multiple languages (English, Chinese, etc.).
• This year, all courses will be conducted in English only.

Why These Courses Work

• The exam is entirely in Japanese and includes medical and pharmaceutical terminology, so general Japanese study alone is not enough.
• IESS teaches only what is necessary to pass, using targeted lessons and mock exams based on detailed analysis of past questions.
• Annual exam questions follow similar patterns, allowing efficient, focused preparation.

Support for Overseas and Low‑Japanese Applicants

• IESS handles application forms, fee payments, and admission ticket receipt for examinees who cannot complete the process in Japanese.
• Without this support, many international candidates cannot even apply for the exam.

Building Japanese Skills for Employment

• Passing the exam does not require high Japanese ability, but employment does.
• IESS provides training for customer-service Japanese and product‑explanation Japanese.
• Students can also take the Pharmaceutical Affairs and Nursing Japanese Proficiency Tests to strengthen workplace communication skills.

• IESS offers job placement support with major drugstore chains across Japan.
• We confirm your preferred work location and introduce positions immediately after you pass the exam.

• On-site: ¥80,300 (tax included)
• Overseas applicants: Please add exam and administrative fees to the second payment.

Early Application Deposit

Applications submitted by March 15 may pay a ¥10,000 deposit.
The remaining balance must be paid by the end of March.
